Irish Wolfhound Puppies.co.uk has been put together as a response to the number of Irish Wolfhound Puppies advertised on Internet Sales websites. Our aim here is to help people looking for an Irish Wolfhound Puppy find their way to a responsible breeder. We hope you enjoy finding out about all the different aspects of living with a Wolfhound, it is so important to do your research before buying a puppy.
You can contact the Breed Clubs for more information and also follow the link to Health, to learn more about any health issues facing the breed and any current health projects. Of the breeders who may advertise litters here, not all will be members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme (ABS). This does not mean they are any less responsible. Often people who breed on a smaller scale choose not to be listed on the KC ABS, yet are often well established and well respected breeders.
In addition, undertaking a full heart screen on dogs prior to breeding is a requirement for Breed Club Members whereas Assured Breeders who are not also members of the Clubs, are not obliged to do this as it is currently only a recommendation under ABS rules.
This is a site for members of the breed clubs, none of those listed will be commercially licenced breeding premises, and all are regulated by the Breed Code of Conduct which can be viewed here. If any members of the Breed Clubs have litters, please see the PUPPIES FOR SALE page. Enquirers for puppies are also encouraged to contact the Breed Clubs for advice on where to buy puppies, please see the links to Clubs. You can also go to the Contact Us page where you can find someone in your area who will be happy to help with advice on the breed, especially useful if you have questions to ask before getting a puppy.
